Community

Ok, so I have been on the road for some time now. I have been to different churches and have had great conversations with a lot of people. One of the main spiritual key words I have been running into time and time again is "community". It is as though someone heard Rob Bell say it and it ran like wild fire through sermons. Christ has not just called us to live in "community" with believers, it's more then that. It is living sacrificially in community with others.
This post was inspired by a comment my good friend Tony made on one of Pranks blogs. He talked about the idea of traveling opening up your mind and continually educating you...this is very true. You learn about different cultures and how God is moving there and you meet some of the most amazing people in the world. But I have seen so many times that in a lot of different communities they are just there discussing intellectual thoughts and stroking each others egos. We need to take care of everyone in the community and out side of it. I am living with a family that lives and breaths this day in and day out. I see it, and it inspires me.
So read, learn, travel and do it with the mind set "What can I learn from this that will actually benefit someone else's life."
Thought it, typed it, posted it...hope it made sense.

Grace be with you.

as we see different people, places, and situations, we need to absorb all that we can, we need to take in all the good as best as we can, yet we still must observe the bad, however, our purpose for observation of negative elements in any community should be problem solving. we can say whatever we want, we need to act, and we need to show other people how to do it, by doing it ourselves. so have your wonderful discussions, and have a wonderful time, but please dont turn a blind eye to the rest of what exists, try and make other people happier and more comfortable.

i dont even know if any of that was on topic.
